Challenge #13 - Theme - Up in the Air (no birds)

Good morning everyone!  I can hardly believe we're almost at the end of June all ready - time is simply flying by.  And that brings us nicely to our new challenge.  For the next couple of weeks we'd like your masculine styled project to be based on the theme UP IN THE AIR, but NO BIRDS ALLOWED!!  Don't forget you can make any type of papercraft project - ATC, card, scrapbook layout, 3D project - anything, so long as it features the theme and is for the men in our lives.

Once again our Guest Designer, Greta of GG Creations, has made a wonderful card based on the theme.  This one has a lovely vintage feel:

Here's more inspiration ideas from the Design Team - you can find full details of the projects on their blogs - do drop by and leave a message!

Such a clever use of the Washi to make the sea.
Love the little boat and sweet sentiment too.

We really like the Washi tape you used to cover the die cut
and that little monster is just so cute!

This really has a great mixture of Washi tape patterns
Love the monochromatic look and the metallic embellishments too!

A lovely clean and simple card.
The pop of the orange is fab and we love the mixture of Washi tape used.

Thank you all for playing along.  Ladies please don't forget to pick up your badges from our side bar and display them on your blog.

And there's still plenty of time to join in with our current challenge to use a tag on your masculine project.

New DT Member and Challenge #12 - Technique - Add a Tag

Morning all!  Before we get to our new challenge, I need to introduce you to a new member of the Design Team.  We'd like to welcome Chris of Dot Dot Stamping Design to the team, but let's hear a bit from her:

I am a homeschooling Mum with a 9 year old son, and I teach music part time. Along with my husband, son and 4 cats, I live in Australia, in the country town of Cooma, which is in the Snowy Mountains region of New South Wales.  I enjoy going to the beach, walking, playing music, art and craft, healthy and sustainable living and trying out new Vegan recipes.  I have been crafting since my Mum taught me to knit at the age of 5.  I began stamping and cardmaking in 2008 when a friend took me along to a Stampin' Up! workshop, and I was hooked right away!  Masculine cards are some of my favourite cards to make, and I am excited to be part of the Design Team for The Male Room.

We know that many people seem to struggle when it comes to creating projects for the men in their lives.  We aim to provide inspiration and ideas by way of our challenges.  You can make any type of paper craft project - a card, ATC, scrapbook page, 3D art - whatever takes your fancy.  Just remember that whatever you make must have a masculine feel.  For the next fortnight we'd like your project to feature:

Be as creative as you like - go wild.  Our Guest Designer this month is Greta of GG Creations - she's made a super masculine birthday card:

And here are some more inspiration ideas from the Design Team to get you started:
